Day 01 - Wayanad
- You are greeted on arrival at the Calicut Airport/Railway station by The
Travel Planners representative and transfer to hotel. Check–in at Green
Gates Hotel at 01.00 pm. Relax for an hour. Have lunch at your leisure.
Post lunch leave for Pookot lake. Pookot lake is a natural fresh water
lake surrounded with evergreen rain forest. Boating facilities are also
available here. Visit Valley View later & the sun set on a clear day is
breathtaking. Return in the evening, have dinner and retire for the night.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 - Wayanad - Have an early breakfast and leave for Kuruwa
Dweep with packed lunch. Kuruwa Island is 955 acres of green forest along
the banks of the tributaries of the east flowing Kabini river. This island
is uninhabited and a paradise with myriad birds. Have packed lunch and
proceed to Tholpetty wildlife sanctuary. You can find here spotted deers,
elephants, bisons, leopards, tigers… etc. It is 25 kms. drive inside the
sanctuary exploring wildlife and return to Green Gates hotel in the
evening. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 - Wayanad Departure - Have an early breakfast, check-out
from your cottage / room and keep your luggage at the front office for
safekeeping. Leave for Soochipara waterfalls and it is a 3-tiered powerful
waterfalls situated in the dense equatorial forest of Wayanad. The cliff
face here is ideal for rock climbing but for professionals only. Return to
Green Gates Hotel for lunch. After lunch, proceed to Calicut
Airport/Railway station for your return journey.
